For this reason, it seriously reduces the quality of life of the people who have this disease. People with SMA disease, which sometimes makes eating and breathing difficult, do not experience any vision or hearing loss. The intelligence level of these people who have SMA disease is normal or higher than normal. This disease, which is seen in one out of every 6000 births in our country; occurs in children of healthy but carrier parents.
